"On Screen" Filmmaking Fundamentals Camp

Ages 10 to 20
Step behind the camera and bring your story to life in On Screen: Filmmaking Fundamentals Camp! This hands-on camp guides students through the entire filmmaking process—from scriptwriting and storyboarding to acting, directing, and editing. Using professional equipment and creative collaboration, campers will work together to produce an original short film by the end of the week. No experience necessary—just imagination and a love for movies!
What to Expect
"On Screen" Filmmaking Fundamentals Camp
Campers will explore the four foundational elements of filmmaking: writing, acting, directing, and editing. Throughout the week, students will work together to brainstorm, script, cast, shoot, and edit an original short film. They’ll get hands-on experience using real equipment, collaborating creatively as a film crew and cast. The week concludes with a red-carpet premiere, where friends and family are invited to watch their completed film on the big screen.

📅 On-Site Registration (1st Day of Camp): $300.00
Backstage and Technical Roles
At both camps, students who prefer behind-the-scenes work can dive into exciting technical and production roles! For Broadway Bootcamp, campers may help with costumes, set pieces, props, or backstage cues. For Filmmaking Camp, tech-minded participants can take part in camera work, editing, lighting, or sound design—playing an essential role in bringing the film to life.
