From Script to Screen: Mondays from 10:00-11:20am- Ages 13+ (Starting 1/12)
Service Description
Day: Every Monday from 1/12-2/23 Time: 10:00-11:20am Age Range: 13+ Description: Unlock the power of visual storytelling in this collaborative filmmaking class inspired by the art of silent film. Students of all ages will explore how stories can be told without dialogue, using facial expression, physical movement, visual composition, and cinematic technique to communicate meaning and emotion. Each week, students will work together as a film crew, learning the fundamentals of narrative structure, character development, and shot composition while bringing a silent story from concept to screen. Along the way, students will build leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills as they plan, film, and refine their work as a team. This class blends performing arts and filmmaking, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and expressive storytelling through visuals alone. No prior filmmaking or acting experience is required, just a willingness to create and work together. Teacher: Yasmin Nearor
