Service Description

Day: Every Saturday from 1/10-2/28 Time: 12:00-1:20pm Age Range: 10+ Description: In a world full of constant noise, it’s easy to tune sounds out. This creative, hands-on class invites students to listen more closely and explore everyday sounds through the ears of a filmmaker. Students of all ages will discover the role sound plays in storytelling as they learn the basics of audio production, soundscapes, and the art of Foley, using ordinary objects to create movie-ready sound effects. Through listening exercises, recording, and playful experimentation, students will gain a deeper understanding of how sound shapes mood, emotion, and narrative on screen. This course is perfect for curious creators who love to explore, experiment, and make noise with purpose. No prior experience is required, just inquisitive ears and a willingness to listen differently. Teacher: Yasmin Nearor
