Day: Every Saturday from September 13th to November 9th Time: 1:00-2:20 Age Range: 10 and up Description: Have a tune in your head or lyrics in your notebook? This class will help you turn your musical ideas into full, original compositions! In Music Composition, students will explore the building blocks of songwriting and composing — including melody, harmony, rhythm, form, and notation. Whether you're writing for piano, voice, strings, or something totally unique, this 8-week course will guide you through the creative process from idea to performance. Students will receive individual feedback and collaborate with peers while learning tools for both traditional and contemporary composition. The course concludes with a live recital in Week 9, where students will present their original pieces in a supportive performance setting. No prior composition experience required — just curiosity, creativity, and a love of music!
