Get your crew together and bring your nightmares to life! Presented by Waco Independent Film Festival, The PACC, and Rogue Media Network, HORRIFY: A Film Speed Run is a twelve-day filmmaking competition that puts your creativity, storytelling, and ability to deliver a scare to the test.
Choose between two challenges: transform an existing movie into a new horror interpretation, or invent an original urban legend tied to a real Texas location, told through found footage, recovered footage, or a shockumentary.
The competition begins with a kickoff mixer on September 26, 2026, at The PACC, where filmmakers, cast, and crew can connect and receive competition details. Completed films must run no longer than 10 minutes, including credits, and be submitted by October 8 at 11:59 PM.
Selected films will screen before a live audience at The Unknown Gathering on October 10 at The PACC, followed by awards and a $250 grand prize. Entry is $50 per film.
