Get ready to take flight and hop on an unforgettable adventure! The Performing Arts Community Center in association with PACC Productions is thrilled to announce auditions for our upcoming musical production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and performers young and old are invited to come along for the ride.

Whether you are brand new to theatre or a seasoned performer, these auditions are designed to be welcoming, supportive, and fun.

📅 Audition Dates

Wednesday, March 18 & Thursday, March 19

Each auditioner only needs to attend one one-hour audition slot.

🕒 Audition Slots & Sign-Ups

• Each audition slot is 1 hour long

• Each slot is limited to a maximum of 10 auditioners

• Audition slots are first come, first served

Please arrive on time for your scheduled slot to ensure the audition runs smoothly for everyone.

📝 What to Prepare (Ahead of Time)

• Complete the online audition form when you sign up for a slot

That’s it! You do not need to prepare a song, monologue, or dance routine. ​

🎭 What to Expect at the Audition

Auditions are structured, efficient, and designed to fit comfortably within one hour.

When You Arrive

• Check in and receive your audition number

• Fill out a brief in-person form

During the Audition

Auditioners will proceed through the following activities:

1. Reading & Interview (One at a Time)

• Auditioners will be called in by audition number

• Read lines from the musical, exploring multiple characters

• Answer a few short questions related to the audition form

2. Music Portion (Group, then Individual)

• The full group will learn a short song excerpt from the musical (no longer than 40 seconds)

• The song will be practiced together several times using an instrumental track

• Each auditioner will then sing the excerpt one at a time for the group, in audition number order

3. Dance Portion (Group, then Small Groups)

• The full group will learn a short dance combination from the show

• Once learned, auditioners will perform the combination in small groups of 3–4

After the dance portion, you are free to go.
The entire audition process will take no more than one hour.

🚫 Closed Auditions

Although auditions take place in small groups, this is a closed audition.
No spectators will be allowed to observe or participate.

📌 Conflicts & Scheduling (Very Important)

When filling out your audition form, please list every conflict you are aware of, no matter how small.

• This conflict list is considered final and comprehensive

• It will be used for the entire rehearsal and production process

• The rehearsal schedule will be built based on the conflicts provided

💰 Cost

There is no fee to participate in this production.
There are no costs required of cast members.

📣 Callbacks, Casting & Rehearsals

• Callbacks (if needed): Friday, March 20

• Casting notifications for all auditioners will be sent no later than midnight on Friday, March 20.

• First rehearsal / read-through: Sunday, March 22
