About the event
Have you dreamed of being in a commercial or TV series,
or seeing your face on a billboard? Or are you the mom of an
adorable baby that you would like to see in a diaper
commercial? Then this workshop is for you! Your instructor, Dr.
Angela Everett, is a professional actor, director and model that is
actively working in the Texas film industry. Angela focuses
primarily on booking commercials, background work and print
ads, and she can show you how to do that too! This 3-hour
workshop will cover everything you need to know to get started
as a professional actor and model in Texas, covering topics such
as: the pros and cons of an agent, what casting sites to use,
headshots, the differences between theatrical acting and film
acting, how to slate, how to film auditions, and much more. The
workshop is open to aspiring professional actors 12 and up.
Minors can have one parent accompany them to the workshop,
but it is not required. The workshop will be at the PACC on
Saturday, March 7 th from 9am-12 noon, and registration is $80.
Actors are encouraged to bring their laptop or phone to look at
casting sites, and a pen and pad to take notes. If you have
dreamed of being a professional actor, this workshop is the first
step!
